Anyone have a rigging idea for this one? Both are mercs, long shaft, one 50 and an 8 hp. Everything planes in pretty evenly as far as props, plates and housings. The boat has the old wirerope style stearing. I tried hooking them together at the housing using widget bracket that I rigged out off a piece of flatbar and a U bracket. Didn't work.

On to plan B. Only problem is I don't have one. I was thinking about tying the captavation plates together but not too sure if I like that Idea. I'd like to keep the connector above the waterline so that I can split them apart. My main motor doesn't have power trim and sometimes I need to run just the kicker to get through shallow areas. Any ideas????? Maybe tying into the cables that are used for streering??

Thanks guys. I just got done fabracating one out in the shop. Used a couple of eyebolts, turnbuckles, a 1/4 piece of threaded rod and a little custom bending with the torch. Seems to work great! Well at least in the driveway anyways.....
