Anyone own a Lowrance 67c?? Problems with mine?

I bought one at bps last week. When I took it out mon, the background was red and blue, not the white like I expected to see. You couldn't pick out the echos or the bottom. When I switched to the Fish ID mode, it worked fine showing fish and the bottom contours, but no color. I screwed around with the settings but still couldn't get a white background. Is it a dud, or just operator error??? I'm going to try it again today and see what happens.

I have a LCX M15, the transducer quit working, it was under warranty, so I received a new one and put it on. It lasted 1 trip and quit working.
I don't have anything to help you, but, I think Lowrance's quality is getting pretty suspect.
Customer service, just tells you to reset to the factory settings.
No help.
