site was well represented today
myself, hotwire, walleye mike, big bob
sunday-
mad dog, ed(awol)
lots of people fishing
i stunk up the place-lots of boat trafic, fish were in shallower today-compared to sunday. sunday 12.5 feet of water in front of beacon cove almost equal to the point. Today(monday) straight out of the spillway(11.5 feet water). The area was good(atleast im sure it was). I asked walleye mike on the radio where he was caugthing them-well hotwire, myself and then big bob headed over. 1/2 hour later 50 boats were there(1/2 before there was 6). Maybe next time ill have walleye mike take it to a secret channel instead of broadcasting to the whole lake :)
sorry about that mike.
Im sure if you can get out in next couple days with less boat traffic it will be easy pickings
seems like ditry weater has been better

Not quite ready to fish eye's on the lake, otherwise I would have been out there instead of on the Det. river. We ended up with 5, 1 was sub-legal. Best action was on the Canadian side of Peche Island. I hooked into 2 heavy fish over there, unfortuantely the fish gods wouldn't even let me see what they were.:( The weathermen were right-on, again, with their predictions for today.

I used to fish with a guy who would say "go to the bass station" we would drop to Chl. 68 or whatever we picked. It seemed to work pretty well. just a suggestion.

No problem guys, glad to help. We could always use two-ways on channel 8 after we contact each other on 68. Two-ways out there should go 2 miles nicely. Or like Ed says go to another less used channel. I really wanted to call you guys earlier but I did want a whole fleet coming there.
I took two home. Put some back. Didn't need anymore in the freezer. Don't want CO's finding too many in there. LOL
Probably will be back Friday evening. Then again on Sunday.

OH BTW, none of my walleyes came from just trolling. Mine came on the pull forward, fall back. Just like whipping, pull your line forward and let it fall back.

Was also on the water yesterday and would say it was crowded everywhere in that area. Must have been well over 100 boats out there, it was like playing dodge-em cars at times! Managed 4 all on harnesses trolling the stained water.

Salmonslammer, I was using harnesses. Tried some hot-n-tots awhile and nothing on them.
What other channel might we use? 9,69,72 any others? Is there one that is not used much?

I remember the boat and talking to you. It sure was a zoo at there with all that boat traffic...........
Do you go by triple crown or 1fife?
I will be on 68 when I am out and allways will give my fellow fishermen a fishing report.
Good luck and tight lines.:D
