I use a TM hunter ultimate and the shink tube is way too noisy. I went to a product call rest implants and the make zero noise. They cost quite a bit ($6). And I go through about 2 pairs a year but I do alot of shooting. I highly recomend these if you want to eliminate arrow/rest noise.
WEEZER:
Try putting a small dab of Vasoline on the rest :))
good luck

Great suggestions so far!
Fred Bear- Where can I find that product??
Sportsmaster- Does the vasoline change my point of inpact any? Do you have to put more vasoline on every shot?
Thanks guys Any other suggestions???
WHEEZER: i used to put a small amount on when i went out and it would last for like maybe 5 shots. You should only need one POSSIBLY 2 shots :)) good luck

I get them at my local archery shop here in Jackson. I dont know if they would be carried at any place like Cabelas or Gander Mountain. Another thing you could do is use very small peices of mole skin. The vasaline idea sounds good but it would get a little messy. If you can find the rest implant I would go that route. The shop I go to is called Shupbach's here in Jackson. Give them a call at 517-782-8418.

Or, you could just invest in a "Silent Solution" arrow rest and never have to worry about your draw spooking a deer again. I believe Cabela's on line sells them for $59.00. <----<<<

Right on Joe! I picked up a Silent Solution rest about a month ago. I wish I'd known about them sooner! At least a 99% reduction in noise. In fact, the only noise I may hear now is from my hunting clothes. Good luck!
I hear PLEDGE works good. You can buy it in household cleaning supplies. :D Honest! :)

I second the recommendation on the Silent Solution. The deer have no clue you've drawn unless they see you.

that's something to start checking on! Believe me I am no stranger to spending money on hunting/fishing supplies! $60 sounds reasonable but not for this season! I don't want to mess up the tuning on my bow too much.

Weez, if you are experienced tuning bows and are using the correct shaft and broadhead weight, you can tune the Silent Solution rest in minutes. <----<<<

is the silent solution the one with wheels? If it is did you notice any increase in arrow speed due to a decrease in drag? Can you spread the contact points apart for fletching clearance?

Yes, you can change the contact points where the wheels meet the arrow. One thing to add to your pack are a few extra O-rings. I've had a couple of them blow off of mine and wouldn't want to be without a spare if this happened.
WHEEZER : I guess we need to ask you when are you concerned with your rest making noise ? IE when you draw on a deer or when you shoot ?

I am concerned with when I'm drawing on an animal.
I checked out the silent solution and It will be on my bow for next season! For Friday and the rest of Dec I am going to use the vasoline on the rest.

Weezer, I use the insulation stripped from a 10guage automotive wire and just push it on the rest arms. I have been doing this on my sons bow for 3 years.

I used the teflon Slick Tubes Arrow Rest Silencers and have had great experience with them. They show almost no wear and I have had them on for 3 years now. Not to mention they are way cheap.

I would check out the Whisper Biscuit, Looks like a circle with bruch bristles. A friend put one on, no noise and it keeps your arrow on the rest. I am switching after this season.
