The 16 foot aluminum boat needs a fresh coat of paint. Anyone have any idea what type of paint to use. (Latex, oil base?) The boat is white right now would like to keep it that color.

You will need to use an aluminum primer
Somehow Gutter grip comes to mind.

Contact a paint shop, my brother in law paints the UPS trucks and they use a Aluminum primer bought at the paint shop (auto marine type)
