Got this boat from Kroppe. And it is great! We decided to do a little customizing :)

Ozzgood2001 did most of the heavy work with me assisting.

scotty, chad and MSU,

You guys are magicians! I love all the mods, they are everything I wanted to do but never got around to. The starter wiring is excellent, and the seats/floor/carpet are great. Congrats on a "new" boat and some nice panfish to boot.

You guys did a great job! I like boat projects like that too. It's fun to do some custom work to get it just how you want it.

Hey,
Like what you've done with the boat, it looks nice. I can hardly wait to check it out with you. I used the picture of the three of you as my wall paper on my desktop, it is pimp.

Hey guys,

AWESOME!!!!! I commend you on an job well done!

I have a 14 footer that I put a front platform in and a bow mounted trolling motor. I wanted to put in a floor but haven't figured out how yet. I was going to put it in at the rib that goes all the way around the boat...but then it would be way too top heavy. Where you put it looks great! How did you secure the floor in place?

thanks,
ben

ps...is that a Camaro with a TRAILER HITCH!!! in your picture? "you might be a redneck if..." j/k :D :D

The camaro is owned by ozzgood2001, I think it is his project car. But I am towing this boat with a 92 Chevy Lumina!

We took about 8 or 9 measurements to get the floor. Starting at the front of the back seat, measuring towards the stern (along the centerline) , making note of the distance, and then making note of the width at that point. After you take enough of those measurements Ozzgood was just able to make a rough 'arc' line by hand. It turned out just right!

Then for strength underneath, we made some pencil marks for ribs that would lay in-between the ribs in the aluminum hull. Obviously the floor lays closer to the hull in the back than it does in the front of the boat. So the ribs in the back are made of smaller wood and then the ribs are taller at the front.

The floor is not fastened to the boat at all, it is basically floating, but it does not move at all because it is more or less wedged in. The only problems are minor, if you drop something very small it can slip under the floor. but you can also lift the floor up if neccessary. 3/4'' plywood makes it heavy enough to not move around, and the ribs add a lot of rigidity. We were suprised at how sturdy the boat sits in the water, you can't even hardly rock it.

yeah it is VERY stable with msuiceman, scottyhoover and I standing in it we still could cast move about and it was very stout. i was absoulutley impressed how it sat! i think we got the floor just right low enough to keep the center of gravity just right!! oh and Big K im always up for modifications but sorry i cant work for beer!!!:D :D :D
