Shore ice was fine Tues. night when I left! And for goodness sake,Don't bring any carp of any color with you. We've caught a few crappie in the middle lake but very few biguns.Pike ,bass and gills,oh ya, an occasional alligator!I wouldn't get the minnows if its too much effort, not a real producer in this lake.

Anyone heading out to Stony this weekend? When and where? I'll be out Sunday evening. See you guys out there, and bring those radios, channel 5.

Best Regards,
Byron

Byron:

I will try to be there Sunday evening as well. Hope the rain stops by then. Which lake do you plan on fishing? I was thinking of maybe trying the small lake after reading the reports of the pike, bass, carp, etc. Sounds more consistent than our luck lately. I sure would like to get another large crappie though. Will have the radio on channel 5. What time are you going to be there?

Later,

John

Sunday afternoon sounds like a plan! I haven't run into you "big lakers" yet.WE might have to show you the art of "micro" fishing! They've been running small this week,I think Ponyboy caught the last keeper.

Hey Guys just got back from Stoney (Sat AM) . Fished through the storm. 8:30 to 12. Limited out on gills. Didn't keep anything under 6", but only one was over 7.5". That was a 9" crappie. Alot of 5-6".

Only 2 flags this morning. Nothing after 9:30. 12" smallie, and a fat 24" northern.

Rick, they moved!! Tried the same spot as Wed. Very few. Mostly crappies too, but very small. I have a new email address. I will email you their present location. I think they were running a larger here too. Got some real nice ones. I won't be able to make it out Sunday

Fished big lake from 8:30 til 3:30.
5 small perch (about 6"), let them go to grow. Moved several times. Nothing happening ! WHERE ARE THE CRAPPIES ?

Will try Sunday if the weather holds. Doesn't look good at this point though. Will report if I do go.

Monday p.m., fished from 2-5. Took home 23 gills! Ice is still safe. Top 3"-4" white, bottom 8" still good.Looked like the big lake was getting hard to access, middle lake still froze to shore. Water was cloudy, but not as bad as after the last rain.
