downriver ice& report

how about a downriver fishing report brest bay, grosse ille airport, banana dykes? i know you guys are out there.ice is still plenty thick i will report back soon

pykemike, water is very, very, muddy can't see 1" down hole. Ice in sheltered areas, airport bay has ice still but with the strong wind last night could be gone this morning. Have to know someone on Hickory to get on ice. Alot of open water. Tried middle of week for 4hours different areas just one dink. Other fisherman having same problem. Stubby

thanks stubby im supposed to go to banana dykes on mon. i might be changing my mind because of good report from brest bay. guy yesterday got 42 perch & 4 walleye. ice is still out to stony pt. hoping water is clear soon so i can use atlantis. tight lines pyke mike

pykemike, Have you read Sunday's local paper?? "Riverview - Toxic chemicals, including dioxin, mercury and PCBs, are leaking from capped chemical dump next to the city's public boat launch. The contaminants are in amounts well above state safety levels, and they are seeping into the Detroit River." Its back again, we will able to see the fish glow at night again. Stubby

Stubby- Haven't you learned. You have to move upriver. Then you don't have to worry every time I flush the toilet.

Ponyboy, We get all those paper pike & more from the Clinton River plus all the waste plus more from Detroit sewage plant discharge and now the liner for this chemical dump is failing. Know DNR & Army Corp. will not dredge river because of all the toxins at the bottom of river. And they say fish are good to eat HaHa??? We have more cancer in Michigan than any other place. Plus they give us this water to drink??? Catch & Release??

went out to airport bay off grosse ille on sunday from 3pm till dark. walleye abb went with. ended up with 40 perch or so 8in+,one bluegill. dropped the camera in saw tons of bluegill but couldnt get them to bite. didnt have the proper equiptment. only access is off east side of bay from hickory is. private parking have to know someone. walk on water!!!!!!

head out to boblo thats where all the big perch are.saw 2 guys with buckets of BIG perch 11" on up in there boats,told us where to go,will be out there after this warm spell this weekend......take a kid fishin!!!
