I have a winner of a wife. She is fair weather and gets cold sometimes but will go usually any time. Ice or water, and does out fish me on occaisions, like last Saturday. I had 2 rods and she had 1, she got most of the fish. She lands Salmon, Muskies, and anything else we fish for. She's a 10 to boot.

Tried to get mine on the ice. No way in hell. Too cold and she might fall in. Not an outdoor person at all. Got her on the boat a couple of times. One time this past summer, I got her up at 6 am. and went out to Selfridge fishing. She caught a nice 2.5lb smallmouth and a couple of small perch. Only stay out 3 hours, did;nt want to press my luck any further.(she was getting bored) Maybe I'll give it another try this year.

My wife loves to ice fish as much as I do but it wasn't always that way. She tried it once or twice but was miserable. How did I get her to love the sport? Simple - 1) make sure she stays warm! I got her pac boots, a parka, fleece long johns and top of the line mittens. She said she has never been so warm and comfortable in her life. I also have a shanty with a heater. 2) Fish the hot spots! The thought of staring down a hole for hours with no action would turn me off too. She's caught lakers, splake, white fish, rainbows, pike, slab gills and jumbo perch all through the ice. She's gotten pretty good at rigging the tackle and setting up the shanty too. It's nice to have a partner out there to help and what's more every time I want to buy something new for ice fishing she's all for it! She even bought me a power auger this year! What a woman! :^)

My Husband and I love fishing (any kind) and hunting (anything) together. Our best friends (a couple) also love to. It makes it nice to have female companions that do. If you get them warm clothes (top to bottom, not the cheap stuff) and many be some other couples with you it might help. My husband says he guy friends get jealous because they can't get their wives out. Which makes them miss out on alot. We go every chance we get

My wife will go deer hunting a couple of times each season and she'll go out in the big boat on Lake Michigan in the summer when it's nice but I can''t get her on the ice, she thinks I'm nuts cause I love it.

My wife and I been married for 28 years and she has never fished but loves to vidio me fishing because she loves the outdoors. But last year we went too Ludington and the Pere Marquette River and I got her hooked. I was at Ludington Dam and we were killing the salmon and I had one and gave her the pole. Man did she have a ball pulling in a 16 pounder. She is hooked now and can,t wait to go. She loves to go flyfishing with me. Had a great time in Wyoming fishing the Firehole and went up to Ennis Montana and had a great time. It,s great taking your wife out and having someone to fish with and to vidio your catch and fight with your fish. Flyfishing out west is the best and if anyone gets a chance too go do it and you won,t be sorry.

MY WIFE IS HORRIBLE. I ONLY KEEP HER AROUND TO CLEAN MY FISH AND GUT MY DEER. ( HA HA HA). JUST KIDDING. I CREATED A MONSTER THIS SUMMER. SHE SHOWED INTEREST IN SCOUTING FOR BOW SEASON. NEXT THING YOU KNOW SHE WANTED TO GO ICE FISHING ALSO. NOW IT COSTS ME TWICE AS MUCH TO GO! HA HA. REALLY, IF YOU WANT YOUR WIFE INVOLVED MAKE SURE SHE HAS THE SAME EQUIPMENT AS YOU DO. IF YOUR'E IN A BUG SUIT IN THE SUMMER SCOUTING, MAKE SURE SHE IS ALSO. SHE LOVES TO ICE FISH STARTING THIS YEAR. NOW I HAVE SOMEONE TO SHARE MY SHANTY WITH. JUST MAKE SURE THEY'RE WARM AND TRY NOT TO GO OUT WHEN THE FISH AREN'T BITING.
