Hog Set Lake

Any word on this lake? Heard you had to pay, but read it has a Public Access.
Big Gills?

Yes it has a public access and big gills. Sometimes if you get there early and the gate is open you can get by without paying or if the gate is closed you can park in the upper lot and walk down. If the shack is manned you will have to pay and I think it's like 4 or 5 dollars(what a joke). There is also state land on the west side of the lake but they close the gate after hunting season and don't let the ice fishermen access the lake (thats our DNR for ya,so much for our license dollars) I have fished it a couple of times this year and haven't done much nor have many other people that I know of who fish it regularly (definately not 4 or 5 dollars worth). I have caught 10 inch and bigger gills there in years past also in Gourdneck Lake which it connects to.
