anyone have any idea of a site I could get the plastic cover that covers the Carb on my 5.7 IO. I took it off and set it in the boat last year while working on the engine. The sun heated it up and melted it out of shape. Any suggestions would be great.

this guy specializes in Mercruiser outdrives. But he may have an idea where to start looking. Good luck !

On JohnR and 13 or 14, on the south-west side of the road(can't remember what mileroad), in a dumpy rowstore, theres a place there. I always call it Discount Marine, but couldnt tell you if thats the real name(cause I couldnt look it up in the idrectory with that). Anyways, the guy that works in there is awesome and will help you out. Last time I went in there in a pinch for a shift cable I needed ASAP. He didnt have it, said it would be a few days, but gave me the right part number and gave me a few suggestions where I might be able to get one.

Jason,

that IS Discount Marine. Their address is 30481 John R. in Madison Heights. It's about 1/2 mile S. of 13 mile on the West side. Their number is : 248-588-0633

He is a very good guy in there. He's helped me a couple of times with good info.
