Well, Esox started a thread because he's getting geeked about the Musky opener. I'm excited about that too. But the inland Bass opener is just TWO SHORT WEEKS away ! Boy I can't wait.

Nothing like fishing bucketmouths topwater style ! Gonna be a blast !

don't forget the american waters in lake erie are open as well....should be prime time for some hot smallie action.

i would have to choose the top-water action for the green fish myself.....being the top-water addict that i am.

where are you planning to make your first cast jpollman?

I can't wait eaither for the bass opener. Even though I have fished someo n the catch and release lakes. Also I have been fishing in a tournament in Indiana and another one there this weekend. But I can't wait to try the other lakes I love to fish. I am unsure of where I will make my first cast of the open season. Where is everyone else going to try. Maybe some of us can get together and fish a lake for the opener.

Well guys,
as far as WHERE I'm going to wet my line for the first time this year, I'll just call it "Lake X". It is however SOMEWHERE in Oakland County. It was shown to me be a good friend from the site. It is not a very big lake but very productive. I think I've only left that lake ONCE having to fly the skunk flag. I don't like to publicize it on the net because it wouldn't take long for a bunch fishermen to really affect this lakes productivity. I think you'll understand. As the old saying goes, "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you". :)
