boat hoist parts???

Hey everyone,
I have a boat hoist that has an electric winch with a bad motor. I'm figuring that it will be a couple hundred bucks to replace. What I'd really like to do is to replace the electric winch with a manual one (you know, the kind with the big wheel to crank it up with). Does anyone know where I could pick one up at. I'm in Oakland county. Do you think a salvage yard might have a cheaper used one?

I have seen a couple rigged up with a trailer winch, and they are fairly inexpensive.
Another thought is that, rather than replacing the motor, there are numerous places in the metro area that repair them. Generally a lot cheaper than buying a new one.
If it's a NEMA frame 56, new ones can be had for chump change, just look on the plate and see what the frame # is.
