Anyone else going fishing sat (early morn)?? If I can't land a spot in the Perch derby I will prob hit either Stony Creek Metro park or the small-medium lake by the Shelby Township offices. I hear it has nice amounts of bluegill, bass, crappie, pike, and even a few trout from when they stock it for their summer trout tourney.

If anyone wants to go and meet up ... split gas/bait money etc....let me know.

Fished Stoney from 3:00-7:00. Trolled hot-n-tots and spinners. Also spent a little time drifting. Caught a couple crappies on the spinners and lost a nice fish while drifting. Seems like I only get one decent chance per trip on a nice fish the last couple of years and I have missed it both trips this year. It was nice just to get out. Wedding things and bronchitis have taken my spring so far. This is the first year that I did not get down to the river in the last 8. It was nice to finally put a fish in the new boat. The yellow buoys that are out are connected together. I watched them string some more out and there is a cable between them. I think it lays on the bottom but I'm sure. I lose enough tackle out there without their help. It will be very busy out there this weekend. Good luck!!!
