anyone know if there still getting smelt up by the point in augres havent been up there in a couple weeks thinking about this weekend if there still running.thanks

Get up there if you want any. Last night, there were tiny 1/2" fish hanging around my lantern. My guess is that they were freshly-hatched smelt. They didn't start until 1:30 or so, but I did get to see a walleye eat one not 3' away from me. :)

The pole was in the car and I got home at 4:10 the way it was. Doesn't make for a good day at work the next day. (Thankfully, I can flex my time as long as nothing's critical. :) )

There were a couple of guys out there casting for eyes, but nothing brought in from what I could see. From the pics posted, BigShooter out in a boat had already caught most of the big fish that were around! ;)
