Thanks to a solid report from Knock off I fished breast bay today. Only fished for two hours, the #@** weather report was off by about 8 hours. Got run off by cold rain, wind and a rumble of thunder. Got 1 eye, 5 silver bass and a 2# smallmouth. The mark was solid in 14 to 16 fow. Lots of fish suspended between 6' & 10' chasing baitfish. Also marked some on the bottom. We trolled a line between Fermi and two stacks. Had several releases, best action was on crome wart with chartruse lip. Two of the silver bass were huge over 12". All fish released except 20 " wally. Nice thick fish, very lively. Going to fit nicely on the grill.

Hey guys.
I fished the bay Tuesday for 5 hrs. (9 to 2), I caught 4 walleyes all better than 20 inch, 1 muskie about 25". 5 silver bass and about 25 smallies, some of them pushing 4lbs. in fact I think I would of caught more eyes if I could have kept the smallies off! The eyes and smallies came out of 12 foot of water straight out of sterling. Everything released but the eyes. I was using #5 shadraps, all different colors. The water went from mud to clear, depending where I was, pretty strange, but a great day on the water.
Say ya to Lake Erie, eh?

I am going to try and get out Friday, weather permitting, Launch is open at Sterling. You have to drive around barricades. DNR was not charging to launch. There is a nasty sand bar at the end of the channel about 75 yards short of the break wall. Water is only 2 feet. Wind was blowing straight up the channel, we get a west blow it will be impassible. Moonlighting is the radio handle.

Jay, I will be out Friday morning as well. Will be fishing with a friend in his boat.We will be getting to Bolles around 8:30 to launch. As far as the wether, they are calling for NE winds 10-15 with waves 1-3 .It will be fishable depending on the water clarity.Had good reports from right out in front of Bolles in 16-18ft of water as well as from Brest Bay area.We will be on channel 68 when we get out there.

As long as I have no problems, I'll be out there a little before you. I'll have my radio on 68. Give me a hollar.
I might make the run to Brest Bay, but it depends on the weather. I'll be by myself, so I only need six. Maybe I can stay right out from Bolles and get it done quicker than making the run North.
See you guys in the morning.

I'll be back out Saturday morning, weather permitting. I thought the marine forecast looked just fine. Remember, if that east wind blows for a couple days Bolles will probably be a mess again.
Sara Smile standing by on 68.
