I will be heading up to Hubbard Lake this weekend, I will be staying on the south end of the lake by the ski hill. Can I expect to find either perch or walleyes on this end of the lake? Where is a good starting spot, what to use for bait? Any particular methods. I will be fishing frfom a small aluminum boat and I have never fished Hubbard this early in the season before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Norm

you should be able to find some walleye on the southwest side and some nice pike on the southwest side. off the river mouth on the south east shore and in 10 to 20 feet of water on the east shore up to east bay.
cranks or crawlers and minnow with a single bead trolled slowly.
maybe i will see you at the shop. we open at 7am
