Here's my story.
I had Second Season Zone Z. It was good hunting.
Had to work opening day and went out that night hit two gobblers and had deer snort them away two nice LONGBEARDS.
DAY 2.
Called in Sick. Real Sick.LOL
Called in a big boy too about 50 yards from my brother. 10 more yards and he would of been dead. The rest of the day we were chasing distant birds.
DAY 3-Rain after work.
DAY 4-Rain after work.
Day 5-Worked same bird at night as day one. Got him 50 yards over a hill and coming, but guess what!!!! SNORRRT SNORRT. Dang deer. So much for that.
DAY 6 Saturday. Day dawned nice. 5:45 am and walking through a field new and I hear GOBBLE GOBBLE 50 yards away. Sounded like a jake and figured to go after big boy. Went in fell in a creek small one. Got in and watched 10 hens in the trees between me and him so guess what he is not leaving 10 horny hens to come on one hen. LIKE I WOULD DO THAT!!!!! So backed out and went back to where the jake gobbled. Called and he hammered back. Got in set up and as soon as i sat down 2 jakes come running in. They came in and did not come close enough. Soon two more come in and did present a shot. One putted off but the ones i heard kept gobbling. Moved 50 yards closer. Sat down got em fired up and then all sudden there i see them. Looked like 1 long beard and a jake. He was gobbling up a storm. Came right in the sun and my glasses are fogged up. I thought he was a longbeard and just as he came close strutted and then i see that little steaple feathers. DANG DANG DANG. But oh well its saturday. Boom and then instant pay dirt. 15 lbs 4 inch beard. Not my best but after a long week a well worth it tom. My brother ended up taking one more of the jake clan on sunday so all in all it was a good season. Sorry about the long story but thought I would share it.
Good luck to the 3rd and 4th season hunters.
