I bought my nephew a new fishing pole and set him up with some new tackle for part of his birthday this year. The second part was after he opened his gifts, we told him we were going fishing. (By the way, Cabela's has a great kid pole, 4.5 foot ugly stick, spincast reel, $19.99, I bought 3)

He didn't even know I had my new boat so he was excited.

Lots of boat traffic on Chemung, and lots of dink gills. I think you could get into bigger fish if it was a little quieter. He did manage one perch.

That is great!!!! If more people would take their kids or any kid that they can possible fishing or to do anything in the outdoors at an early age then that will help themin the long run from being on the streets or getting into trouble. Seeing a young kid like that having fun in the outdoors is just awesome. Like you said those blugills and perch were dinks but to him I bet that was a true TROPHY! SOmething he will never forget. That's what it's all about! Great Job!!!!

Occasionally. I have had finals for 5 classes over the last 2 weeks so I havent had time to do crap. Did a 14 page and 38 page process sheet for my manufacturing classes and had to design a bunch of stuff for my Unigraphics classes. Last day of class is tomorrow then its fishin all summer.
