Sorry for the late report, but our computer got a virus and it took 2 days for my son to get everything back to normal. I got out sat morn for about 3 hours and only caught one 6# brown. We fished all the same areas as on tues but with no results. The water was 4 degrees colder and it was realy dirty compared to tuesday. I would've tried differant areas and tactics but the wind and waves got too bad for the boards. Sunday looked good but I had other comitmants. Did anyone get out? Good fishin!

Tried to raise you on the radio sat afternoon. You went in to soon they turned on about 4pm and shut down at dark.I got 3 nice eyes about 4-5lbs and a small brown trout fishing by myself. Boat control in that chop was a real bit--!!!

I was up over the weekend doing some yard work - saw and couple guys (Gary Truman was one - went to school with him) nailed some nice walleye and browns out of Harrisville. There was an article in the Alcona County Review with a picture of them and their catch - two walleye being held up had to go 10+lbs. No info on method, but since they also had the browns, I'd guess they we're running boards in shallower water. Article said they'd enjoyed a couple 40 - 50 lb days on Huron.

Thanks for the info. I was using inline boards because it was to rough to set up the big boards by myself. Caught everthing on #18 rapalas in natural color 100ft off the boards. With mothersday next weekend probably wont get to fish. How long does the bite last over there for the eyes and the browns?

The first thing I did when I got to the parking was to try and hail anyone from the site no answer. Then did a radio check and had 4 replys. I had to get home for my nieces wedding, else be casterated by the wife, so I left early. How shallow were you catching the fish Rat city? Glad you did well. As far as how long the eye's will hang around it's anybodys guess. I think they will be there until at least the smelt are done. Good fishin!

I was trolling in and out from the shore instead of with the shore line. Would start in 12ft and go out to 17ft, turn around and do it again. Hope to grt over their before the run is over. I stayed at the habor inn. The new owner is a young family and he is trying real hard. The price is rite about 50 bucks and he seems to be a nice guy. See ya on the water:D :D

Well I guess I'm jinxed; no wind all day til we get out. Started out in 16 fow with no waves at 2:00pm. Finished at 5:00pm in 3 footers. Went 2 for 3, 1 brown and 1 walleye both on #14 husky jerks. We got a hot new tip so I'm staying up at my buds to fish tomarrow. I'm on his computer so I'll post pics and results weds. Good fishin!

Wow; what a great day of fishin! The weather did just what they said; NE winds 5-10 mph waves less than 1ft. We set up at 7:30am north of Au Gres in 14fow. We caught everything but a coho and steely. We went 8 for 12 with 3 walleyes, 3 browns, 1 laker, and a king. We had 1 steely hit and come out of the water 5 times only to break off and take our lure. Had anouther big king take anouther lure (10lb test, tight drags, and big kings don't mix well ). I'm still at my buds so I can't post pics til I get home. 14 to 19 fow husky jerks and bombers on boards back 70 to 150ft. Good fishin!

Rat city; Don't cross the road without looking both ways.:D ;) No it was just a tip on where to fish for a mixed bag of fish. A charter captain I know was killin them at night north of the point (lookout ) in 8 to 12 fow. I really hate night fishin, so we went a little deeper and tried it during the day. We had a ball. Good fishin!
