I finally got my bird this morning and I must say this is the hardest I've ever worked for one but it was well worth it. I snuck in and setup 50 yards from the roost at 5:15 this morning. I was able to watch him gobble and strut while he was up in the tree. Then he flew down but flew to my left and I was able to watch strutting but it was too brushy to shoot. Finally his hens flew down about 7:00 and they flew to my right so he had to come right in front of me, 30 yards. That was his last mistake. 23 lbs, 10.5" beard, 1" and 1 1/8" spurs. And I only ended up being 10 minutes late to school.
