What type of fish are in Lakeville Lake? What would be good to go after this time of year and with what bait/lure's? Where are the spots to try in the lake?

Never fished it but looks like good time to try since they are going to screwup stoney for a month.

Haven't fished there for about 20 years or so, but we have caught bass, pike and gills out of there. My buddys dad used to like to fish there, personally I would go fish Lk Orion. IMO its a more productive lake than lakeville. What are they doing at stoney?? Dropping the lake level again to work on the damn???

Mean't to answer this days ago, just forgot. Bass and pike are the main game there. Gills and perch seem to be on the small side. Crappies are decent size if you can find them. Walleyes have been planted the last few years. Seem like they would be suspended in some of the deep pockets throughout the lake.

Get a topo map. This lake is made up of 11 holes. Two are 60ft deep and a couple are forty ft. deep. And a few are 20-30ft. With a couple 10-20ft. The rest of the lake is about an average of 5-6ft.and mostly weeds. Last year while boating around I found a thermocline there at 30 ft. down. Most suspended fish will be around this depth. A little above or a little below.

Never did real good fishing here. In the summer, go early or late nite. Lots of jet skis and skiers.
