Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem. He is walking through the town when he happens upon the shop of Finkelstein the Tailor. Struck by the beauty of the garments he sees on display, Jesus looks at his own clothing and thinks that perhaps it’s time to get a new robe. So Jesus goes in to Finkelstein’s shop and asks the Tailor to make him a new robe. Finkelstein, having heard of Jesus and his many great works says “For you Jesus I will make the best robe ever as I am honored that you have chosen my shop above all others”.
A week later Jesus returns to pick up his new robe. It is the best robe Jesus has ever seen. Everywhere Jesus goes the people compliment the robe and its craftsmanship and Jesus receives many compliments. Jesus tells the people about Finkelstein and his shop and Finkelstein’s business increases dramatically.
A few weeks later Jesus returns to the shop to once again thank Finkelstein for his fine work. Finkelstein thinks for a moment and then says to Jesus “You know Jesus, I have been thinking that perhaps it was time to take on a partner, and as you have driven so many people to my shop I can see that having you as that partner would be an honor, not to mention that having Jesus name associated with Finkelstein would be great for business. Jesus ponders the offer for a while and says to Finkelstein “Okay, Jesus and Finkelstein it shall be!” “No, now wait a minute Jesus” Finkelstein says “This is my shop, I started the business. It shall be known as Finkelstein and Jesus!”
The two go around and around for hours on who is going to get top billing. Finally, they come to an agreement and the partnership is sealed. That partnership thrived and the business has grown since, expanded and survives to this day.
It’s now known as…..(are you ready for this?)…….
