anybody fish any of these rivers yet or there smaller tributaries and how did ya do. thinking of heading up to the tobacco sometime soon and wondered if the trout were very active yet.

fished middle branch of tobacco tonight and only had two hits i saw on a spinner and one on a crawler i didn't see. both i saw were small fish, one a minnow and one probably a keeper. anybody been fishing these area streams lately, i need some help fishing them. fished some good water tonight, good runs and loggy areas and no fish and no hits. need some local advice.

My brother talked to a DNR rep who had helped with the electroshocking and tagging walleyes in the Tittabawassee river. He claimed that they saw more steelies in the Tit than they ever have before. I guess there were hundreds of them in the river this year in the area of the Dow dam.

Now, the steelies can't get all the way up to where you are fishing due to the dams, but I just thought it was interesting.
