I own 40 acres in south central Presque Isle county and want to plant several small plots this year. My question is how small can they be and still be effective. I have 4 different areas in mind 2 are small circular clearings of about a 100-150 feet in diameter, one is a old logging road about 200 feet long and the last is about 75 x 300 feet long. What is the best attractant or is it better to plant several different varieties? Sorry for the long post, just looking for the most info I can collect. Thanks for all help in advance, The Nailer

When planting food plots it is recommended to plant small versus large. Especially if there is ample cover around. I have had great success planting 1/2 acre and using old logging roads. The road usually tends to be a little lower than the ground around it and makes a big difference to the deer. It provides great protection. I sell Wildlife Buffet. Seed out of Minnesota and have had great success with this blend in our north country. If you are interested in more information please email me. I can work up a price for you. 12 lbs per acres=$55.00
Hope this helps.
