Pelicans!

Hey...well I hope everyone had a good easter!Today as I was driving up M-35 along the bay to look at some beaver traps I was surprised to see five pelicans sitting on the shore!Are they becoming more common? I told my nephew when I got home and he said when he and his woman are fishing on the bay they spot them occasionally.Just thought it was kind of neat and wondered if anyone else sees them.On the down side...I wonder if they will be a nother version of the cormorants!Later.

I had no idea they were ever found here!

Used to see 'em daily when I worked in Carlsbad, CA.....flying in formation, following the coastline.

They looked prehistoric.....very cool!

Man I hate Pelicans!!!! EVERY time we went on vacation I always wanted to go to the beach, and those pesky birds would take food right out of your hand, or come right up and take your stuff.

I was always afraid of them, and now its pay back time:D :p

I never knew pelicans would come to Michigan. You guys are great. I learn new things here all the time. Any suggestions where I could go to see one??
