One thing to keep in mind is that not all food plots will attract deer, no matter what you plant.
If deer aren't typically passing at least near your area, adding a food plot may not draw them in.
Consider that only certain spots in certain fields attract deer. Surrounding fields with the same crop don't seem to attract deer as well.
The deer need travel corridors to the food plot that they feel confident travelling and that are connected to other places that the deer normally go to.
The number one rule in deer hunting is still location.

Wildlife buffet. Plant it and they will come!!! If you have deer in your area and then it is worth planting food for them to eat. Deer will go to an area of easy high quality food. That is why baiting is so popular. We all know that deer will come to a bait pile and will stay there as long as the bait is present.
