Hey guys....not too often you see a food plot thread....I stumbled across this manual on the net and ordered it. If you have a food plot, you have got to have this book. It'll answer every question you could possibly have about whitetail foods. http://members.tripod.com/Dr.Deerfood/index-2.html

Planting a variety of foods for deer including Wildlife buffet is a good idea. I use Wildlife buffet along with planting crab apple, aspen, honey suckle, dogwood,etc... for improving my deer habitat. You can't beat the clover, rape, and etc...for high protein needs of deer. They will eat this in the spring and summer before the other foods.
