Just got a garmin gps V 3 weeks ago. It was not the deluxe. It comes with City select with code to unlock 1 region. Costs $$$ to unlock each addtional region or the entire cd. The deluxe comes with all regions unlocked. Just bought the blue chart for it. Here is a great deal to be had if you buy the V and the bluechart.
Right now, there is a $75 rebate on it. If you buy the gps V and it does not say deluxe on the package and the city select verision is 4.0 you can order the upgrade cd and pay only $50 to unlock entire cd.
The blue chart software has a $50 rebate on it right now. It comes with 1 region unlock. Going price is 139 to 149 locally. I found a couple of websites out there for $99.00. WestMarine will match the price if you bring in a print out of that websites page.
End up spending 50 plus tax after all is said and done.
