The Michigan Muskie Alliance chapter of Muskies Inc. will be hosting special guests representing the Michigan DNR for May 1st meeting in Lansing.
Be sure to attend the May 1st meeting of the Michigan Muskie Alliance for an informational presentation by Michigan DNR personnel. The featured speaker will be Mike Thomas, discussing piscirickettsia, the newly discovered bacterial disease infecting muskies in Lake St. Clair. Mike will be sharing what they know, what they don’t know yet, how they plan to gather information in 2003 and how anglers may help.
Jay Wesley and Gary Towns also of the DNR will be on hand to provide general information on the status of muskies in Southern Michigan, and to field any additional questions you may have. So come prepared to learn, come prepared with questions, but most of all just come and show support for the DNR for their generous offer to travel up to Lansing for us!
The meeting will begin at 7 PM at the Lansing Gander Mountain store, Thursday May 1st. See you there.
