This has nothing to do with fishing, BUT it may save you a lot of grief in the future.

I just posted some important information about you on the "Advertisers Forum". This is not a joke, unless you opt out of their system, your personal credit profile will be available on demand by ANYONE starting July 1, 2003.

I strongly suggest that you check this out, 4-17-2003 post under mortgage rates.

Steve if you can suggest a better way to make your viewers aware of this, just do it! This is the kind of crap that really upsets me. Let your family and friends know about this travesity

Thanks,

Dick Graves:mad:

Personal Information, is a HUGE business! And the State of Michigan is one of the biggest resellers. The big 3 credit bureaus,
practically "give" that infomation to all sorts of companies, especially mortgage companies and big data houses.

The link that someone provided about it being false and that they only give that info to legitimate businesses that have a permissable purpose under the law. Sorry fellas, thats just not true,,, unless you're on Americas Most Wanted List, they WILL sell you that information.

Zofchak has a link posted on Advertisers Forum, to the Michigan Attorney Generals Office, which gives you some insight! They kind of recommend that you opt out, if you don't want your mailbox stuffed with all kinds of credit card offers, etc.

So all these credit card companies have to get the information from somewhere, right! If they can get your information, who else do they sell it to?

Here is the real "skinny" on my origianl post. Visit http://michigan.gov/ag on the right side of the screen scroll down to Consumer Alerts and click it. On the link "privacy" then look for "Eliminate Credit Card Offers" (opt out) dated 1-1999 & click it!

This is from the Attorney General of the State of Michigan! Nuff said on this subject, either you "opt out" or you let them sell your personal information to anyone with enough cash to pay for it!

P.S: the original toll free number that we posted is the same as the A/G posted in 1999. Who would have "thunk" that they would sell your personal information?????? Money talks and and Bull Sh-t walks!;)

Rico I called the author of the letter on your post, Norm Magnuson, he was not in. His secertary said she knew nothing about his letter. Who does he represent? I am thinking the major credit reporting agencies! May be wrong, but pay a visit to their web site, kinda think they are all in cahoots!

Who the heck knows anymore?
