I took everyones advise and hit the river again this morning.
Some of the quotes that really made a difference:
....if your not vertical, your wasting your time.....
.....boat control is everything...
....use stinger hooks......
....boat control is everything...
....use big minnows.....
.....boat control is everything.....

You guys are the greatest! Once I hooked a couple, I realize now what the hits feel like. I'm sure I missed lots yesterday because I thought it was the bottom.
Also, today I used 1/4 and 3/8 jigs. I think that helped too.
Next time we meet, I'm buying!

Sweet!!! Congrats.

Have you see the thread about the MNG on the 27th at Metro Beach? I bet even if you did you'll be on the river that day...

That is really cool Hunt4Ever! One more thought that I had that I'm not sure got metioned is, if your dropping your jig back down and it didn't hit the bottom when you thought it should, SET THE HOOK. A fish probably hit it on the way down which is very common. Anyway, glad you got into some fish. It just gets better and easier from here.

Hey Jim, if you are gonna talk about it on an open forum, give the numbers for crying out loud.........;) LOL

No numbers on this one, just a line up job..... ....Now let's see how sharp he really is, I told him what to line up but there's one important and obvious factor that makes one part of the hump better to fish then another. I'll direct him to the exact boulder by PM......Dang i'm happy for ya Hunt.:) :)

After taking them out of their fish jammies, the breakdown is as follows:
3, 21" females
2, 20" Males
1, 19" Male
Here is where I was fishing. There isn't a name on the island but I was on the break, 11-20 feet of water. I circled my path in red. Although it wouldn't be hard to find, just go where the other 75 boats are.
