Wow what a wild ride! Launched from Ecorse after work and thought I would try to put the hurt on the walleyes. After surfing the waves upstream to Edison, and seeing thick black clouds of coal dust blowing across to the Canadian side, I turned back and braved the 4 foot swells, en route to the Ecorse launch. Needless to say the going was slow. My favorite Red Wings hat blew into the river, but was recovered. The styrofoam minnow bucket got some gas on it and dissolved, so the minnows ended up in the cooler, which was intended for the walleyes.
No fish to say the least, but it was an exciting way to spend the evening!

Thats funny Kroppe. I did the same thing, but never got my hat back . So why don't they make gas tanks out of styrofome?
Still nice to know how the river was good or bad ty for the report.

Ed, LOL @ styrofoam gas tanks!
Forgot to mention, water temp was up from the weekend. Was reading about 47 degrees today, vs. 39 degrees Sunday.
