Stopped at the lake on the way home. Had a couple of rods and reels that haven't been tested since their annual winter cleaning, and some new baits to check out. Made a couple casts with everything, till I came across a couple Radtkes Pike Minnows I picked up at the boat and fishing show over the winter. 4 casts in the EXACT same spots as I had been tossing other baits produced three pike. Must be something to these double jointed gizmos.

Great colors on those, looks like they are made to actually catch fish and not fisherman . lucky I don't pike fish much or I would have to have one of each:D

I will have to remember to recharge the camera batteries, bring the camera with me, then take it out of the truck. THEN I'll have to catch some fish while having tha camera with me..........I'll take care of it T.:)

Radtkes Pike Minnow ?? are those anything like the old wood Creek-Chub Pike Minnow's ???
Back in the day I had a good selection of the Creek-Chub's that my dad gave to me,,,man did those things nail the pike,,I no longer have them,,I lost them and an entire fishing box full of stuff to my buddy's Ex-wife

Ive got one of the smaller ones (single jointed) in bass color. It hasnt even gotten wet yet. There was a thread over on muskie first not too long ago saying they are pretty much worthless. Guess maybe ill have to give it a chance afterall! You have any problems with hookups? I was thinking about cutting off the hooks and adding some split rings. I dont understand why all lure companies dont use split rings. Jitterbugs are 100 times better with the addition of split rings.

You are right about that George. You make a great show guide,
"Hey you ned some of these and some of those.....". Did they give you a commission? LOL

Tom, I picked them up at a show, never seen them in a retail store, but Rollie and Helens has them, and you can get them direct. You have to get up here soon, Meet and Greet at Metro on the 27th. I am sure we can find something to do Saturday night.:D Bring the boatif you want, we could use more boats. You have been in OH too long, we need to get you onto some real water.;)

Tonga, they aren't nearly as wide bodied as a CC Pikie, and they heve a vertical tail. They work almost the same as a Rapala Countdown, let them sink to the desired depth and they stay there.

Good going Paul! So did they like the 2 piece or 3 piece style. I can see you're gonna cost me some more cash. ;)

The three piece. I usually don't use jointed lures in the spring. That sure changes the way I look at things.
