To all who fished the Detroit River today, what were the seas like? I saw on weather.com that the winds were 18mph from the north. Doesn't sound real good for a 14' boat.
Looking at the weather cam, it looks halfway decent, not so muddy. But the resolution of the image isn't so great, hard to tell what the surface of the water is really doing.
I'm launching Sunday 6:30 a.m. from Wyandotte, it's going to be colder than he** and probably windy. But dam* the torpedoes and full steam ahead anyway.

kroppe,
I fished the upper Detroit River near Alter Rd. today and picked up 2 on jigs from 7 to 10 am.
The winds were out of the NW and it wasn't that bad fishing the American shoreline.
The water was stained with about 1ft. visability but should be cleaner tomorrow.
Weather.com hourly forcast says it will be a NE wind tomorrow morning 1-2 mph switching to the east.
I'll be on the upper part again in the morning.
Good luck,

If the weather forecasts are correct, then boat wakes will be a bigger issue than the waves tomorrow morning . We'll be launching at Wyandotte a little before 6 tomorrow. If you see an older blue and red Lund Pro-V 1775 with a 115 Yamaha and three guys in it, swing by and say hi. We'll share what we know (if anything)with you.
