My buddy and I are looking to catch some nice Perch anybody have any reccomendations for where we can go? We do not own the equipment to go out on the big lakes but are not against paying a few bucks to rent a shanty and maybe be taken out. Any help would be great.....

You want to spend a little money, go to Havilon Bay, North of Sault Ste, Marie, You will catch 2lb perch on jigs. Originally posted by Preach:

theyre getting BIG perch on the ohio side of lake erie,out from crane creek.some eyes too,but not many...

the ice is not all that great off crane creek ,they seem to have a quota of ships to un-load coal up the maumee so the ice moves a lot,fishing has been very poor ,your better off down by sandusky bay or off cataba island the ice has firmed up quite a bit
