Thursday, Trenton Channel

I'm going to fish the mouth of the Trenton Channel on Thursday morning. I'll be on channel 8 (frs radio). Let me know if your out there.

Would have gone but with the report of chocolate milk water, I thought my time would be better spent tying up some loose ends.

How did you do? If reports are better for Friday, who knows might just be my first trip of the year.

Dirty water? No, it's more like DIRT WATER!

Fishing was slow. I only saw one walleye cought. I managed to land a 3-4 lb carp (hey it felt good). I was using a white jig head, white grub tail and a shiner about 4 inches long and you could only see it about 2-3 inches below the water.

The water was running 36 - 37 degrees in 6-10 fow, except by the warm water discharge, where it was 46-47 and only 2-4 feet deep. (that's where I got the carp)

I have to go to Miami this weekend, but I think I have Tuesday off. Hopefully it will pick up next week.
