A couple of trees came down in the ice storm. I believe one is a swamp elm , about the size of a man's waist at the base. The other is a wild cherry, about the size of a smaller man's thigh at the base. Elm is leaning over a two track & the cherry laying across a two track.
Maybe not the best firewood, but its free.

Cherry makes darn good fire wood if I'm not mistaken.

And cherry wood makes excellent wood for making crafts. That's if it's not too torn up and twisted. If I'm not mistaken:D :D

Cherry is excellent wood for furniture/ cabinetry. It's my favorite wood to work with, with Walnut running a close second.

L-O I am to far away for any wood, but I wanted to tell you that my neighbor got a wire hair daschund(?) to train as a deer recovery dog. I talked to you about last winter I think. Well thanks again for the advice back then. Now I won't lose a deer again...................MAtt

madddog,
Did he have to go to New York to get the dog ?

sausageman,
The firewood is free to everyone but you. To you I would like to trade it for one deer being turned into sausage this fall. With that deal, free delivery within 20 miles. :)

L-O He had to go to detroit airport. It was flown in from canada somewhere. It sure is a neat little pup. The lady he got it from had already started working a blood trail with it. Matt

I was wondering about starting a thread for free maple wood. I see it's not worth it.....But if anyone ever feels like whacking some maples for the wood, PM me. You'll end up with enough wood to burn for 5 years.
