will pike feed at night under the ice or just in the day?

I've never fished for them after dark. But from what i've read they don't feed after dark. They feed mostly by sight and don't have good night vision like walleyes.

I, too, have never caught them at night. Tried once with tipups last year. seems like the sun goes down and the bites stop happening with the pike

Not much luck at night, but I have had some great fish taken just as the sun is going down. It must be that rush for their last meal before nightfall.

Tried last week after dark with no luck. Missed one right as it was getting dark but then they shut down.

I have also heard the same as everyone else that pike do not feed after dark. I have fished for bass at night in the summer and usually always get pike to hit on the same lures as bass but never after dark.
I catch Pike under the ice at night, usually soon after sunset, and a full moon seems to keep the Pike and the 'eyes hitting. In the summer I catch a lot of pike & Muskies at night on large Jitterbugs and Zara Spooks. In Lake St. Clair, there is so much traffic during then day I'm convinced that they have adapted to low light feeding. Another nighttime pattern that works well is fishing marinas and launches near the edges of the light shining on the water. On a calm night you can watch the baitfish jumping to get away from a hungry fish as he makes a pass through a school hanging out in the light.

Never fished pike in the summer, on purpose. In winter, I ditto what everyone has said...In fact, yesterday I iced pike steady from 2pm-dusk (about 5:45), then they stopped.
