That is up. I bet the ice at the mouth is keeping the water in. It doesn't hurt that half the bridge at Telegraph is closed to water flow for the construction. It creates more flow but would dissipate some down stream. Eric is right, this can only mean a big push of fish soon. Hopefully it goes down some in the next two days.

I took another look at your picture and it looks like the city came out and pushed the dock in some too. Not that the water isn't up, but in the fall they pulled the dock up so it didn't get frozen in.

I also hit the Huron from 4-6:30 and also experienced the high waters and also caught nothing. I did although have a hit floating a jig/wax worm under a bobber. The fish bit the tip of the waxie that was hangin down. Be careful by the edges!!! The water is really up.;)

I also fished the huron from 2-5:30, fished between the coffer and telegraph, no fish to bites. did see one guy hook and land a nice musky 30-35". still alot of ice covering the lake above flatrock so the water will be up for probly another few days. then the rain's coming soon !!!!!!

Anyone drive past the mouth and see if it opened out in the big river? That seems to be holding the water up.

I saw five fish hooked today after 3pm. A couple were foul, but the ones that looked fair came on black zonkers.
There were still some good sized hunks of ice coming down the river. Some of the back water areas are still iced over.

I don't think anything could be holder the water up. Sounds like there is good flow.
Someone must have opened the dam at Belleville to let off some water.
The river is fully opened under telegraph now, but there is still some work to do on the bridge. Belleville lake must have gotten to high with the upstream flows increasing. They are just lowering the lake a little before they back the flow off again.
