Did everyone get their new R&H Catalog yet?
I got mine yesterday. I want one of each size and color, that'll be $167,432.28.........how do I explain that to the wife??? Maybe if I get them to throw in free shipping....LOL
I have placed two orders with them and have yet to receive the catalog. Do you have to explicitly request it or something?
While I didnt get the catalog yesterday, I did get the frabil power catch, and a nice array of lures, so I guess I cant complain too much! :D
It's probably in the mail, If not call Dianne, she will take care of it.
What did you get from them? Any gliders?
No gliders, the price on those magic makers has me scared. My luck id go for a big cast, get a back lash, have the line break, and send a $25 dollar lure flying across the lake!
Ive decided to focus heavily on soft plastics this year. Ive got 4 3700 boxes full of them now. Everything from little joes and tiger tubes, to bull dawgs and sluggos, to reapers and grubs, to all sorts of other creations!
Also picked up a few more top waters to compliment my arsenal. All I really need are some more crank baits, and then some gliders or jerkbaits the next time i have a spare paycheck laying around, and ill have a fairly complete arsenal.
That power catch net is pretty sweet! Now I just have to figure out where in my friends boat its going to fit!
15 days until the ice out chal-lunge on Webster!
Heres most of the stuff minus the net that I got yesterday:

The season needs to hurry up and get here, I cant afford to not get on the water soon!
Don't forget the 10" Fin-S. They are a lot of fun to fish, I generally add a stinger hook to the Slug-o and Fin-s hooks that they come with, improved hookup ratio considerably.
Whats that clown colored shallow runner? Looks like a small Jake, but I never saw one with a lip like that.
On hint for that Jitterbug, cut off the factory side hooks, add split rings to the eyes and new hooks, you will get a lot more hookups, and land a lot more fish because they cant get leverage on the hook- lure connection.
Good idea on the stinger. I love the action of the sluggos in the water, and they are in my opinion one of the ultimate slop baits. I only had one hit on the sluggo last year, and it was a smaller sized musky. I was rippin the sluggo over the weeds and it grabbed the sluggo and came out of the water with it, but dropped the lure before it hit the water. Do you normally fish the big sluggos texas style, or what? Ill definately give the stinger a try, but it seems that it may make the sluggo a little less weedless.

Geez, I have approx 30 Plano 3730 boxes full of lures and have only a couple shown there. Either I've got all the wrong stuff or I need to spend more money. ;) Buying Muskie baits is addicting! Paul, I'd like to come by sometime and check out your arsenal but my wife probably won't let me out the door!
I usually rig them Texposed, with the stinger a weedless hook (the type with a horseshoe shapedwire guard) just slipped over the main hook, held in place with surgical tubing. I just let the stinger flop around, as opposed to burying it in the plastic.
Thats alright John, I'll bring some by your house. Tell the little lady it's a hook sharpening party.
That clown colored one is a bucher baby shallow raider(6"). It will probably be one of the first baits I throw this year as long as conditions are good.
Good tips on the jitterbug, those hooks from the factory dont have a very free range of motion.
Gone Fishin: I doubt youve been buying the wrong stuff, I just need to buy about 29 1/2 more 3700 boxes full of lures, then we will be on the same page! :D
Last year my go to bait was a bucktail, this year im going to try to stay away from the bucktail and get some action on the more exciting baits like the jackpot, and get some more numbers on the soft plastics.

Jaid, most of my Muskie fishing is trolling although ESOX may make a wannabe caster out of me yet. Almost all the baits I have are wood with the majority being Lokes and Wileys. I like to have about 3 of each color in case it turns on. That being said, I usually use the same 12 or 15 every trip. If those baits don't catch fish, the other 29 boxes probably won't either but don't tell my wife that!:D
Jaid, in that pic the Shallow Raider looks like the lip has a 90 degree bend in it similar to a shallow running Super Shad Rap. Am I seeing things?
The light/shadows make it appear that way. It is your average shallow raider.

OK cool, that just saved me a bunch of money.LOL
Biggest fish on the boat last year came on one of those in orange/ black.
Cool. Hopefully this guy can get me what ends up being the biggest of `03 in a couple of weeks!
