The end is near, fellow icefisherfolk! Warm temps and rain in the forecast....time to hit the rivers.

try 4 inches of new snow, temp got to about 34, thats it. anywhere north of flint, the ice is just fine. Possible temps by next weekend in the 60s or 70s!!! maybe, just maybe, we will br fishing off the ice by march 15th:)

Don't get me wrong, I love the hard water as much as the next guy but I'm ready to hit the river. Bring on those warm temps.

6 degrees and dropping up here, lows around zero or a little below, with winter weather advisories out. I gotta find and patch a hole in my waders before I hit the rivers, I guess I still have time!

Unless a river is frozen over, cant you "hit the river"? I know that you would have to dress for it, there will be ice floating, etc. But are you going to let that stop you? :)

It's -3 degrees right now here, I don't think there's much thawing going on at the moment ! (Damm it !!!)

Got caught in the storm sat nite on the river.We left because I han to take brother-in-law home. He lives by Big Rapids and I live north of Lansing.After 5hrs of driving and a tem drop of 20 degrees I made it home.:( Nice to see some of the M.S. guys out there.
