kkirkens,
I am planning on getting back into sledding next season and I have a question. So many sledders are so brand loyal that you cannot get a honest answer from them. I see that you jumped ship and switched brands so here we go.......
Question: I read that the new REV is an awesome machine but some don't like it for long rides because you don't have the option to adjust your position on the seat and it gets uncomfortable. In fact Polaris has a comparison of reasons against the riding position.....I know marketing is everything :)
Thanks,
Pat

I saw the false advertising you are talking about on polaris's website..basically they are trying anything possible to get people to come buy a polaris. All I can say is ride a rev for 30 mins and you will be sold. Don't just ride it for 5 or 10 mins or you probably won't like it. My friend bought a rev and was dissapointed after riding it for a quick 10 min ride. We went on a trip and after 30 mins of riding all he could say is "I love it!". He said he was 100% sold on the rev concept after the longer ride. We rode for 7 hours and all of us were pooped except for him, so I think polaris is full of crap. I know of 11 people just this last 2 months that have sold there sleds (which alot of them were 2002) to buy rev's...and guess what, 8 of them were die hard polaris people who said the rev was ugly and they would never own one. They all rode one finally and all own a rev now. If you like quads and dirtbikes, then you will love the new position of the rev. I hope this helps you decide.

It's not any smaller. It is the same length and width as my zr 600 was. I think it just seems smaller because you sit up so much higher than the older style sleds. It really improves your riding too. Usually no one can catch me throught the trails on my zr, but my bud got his rev and he blew me away. I rode as hard as I could and couldn't keep up with him. Normally he is at least 1 to 2 minutes behind me in the trails when we ride hard. Now that I have my rev too, I'm back in front.
