state park / bay city?

Is the state park (that I keep seeing, mentioned) west of Saginaw river and Kawkawlin river?
If yes, how are the ice conditions in that area? I heard of a large ice break near shore at Linwood, that was running N / S. And was supposed to be "miles long". Any and all input would be appreciated. Was thinking about heading there Saturday, as long as the ice is o.k.

I was there on tuesday and there's a new crack up close thats really not a factor. The ice seemed to be good, we only went to the first real crack at 12 foot or close to that. We ended up with 4 walleyes and a whitefish. All the fish came in the last hour before dark. Im headed there in 2 hours. Will try to post again for you when i get home tonight.

I'm heading up to Frank's shortly to get some new auger blades, maybe I might stop by just to check it out. I've got some buddies that don't want to drive that far, if the ice is shaky. Look forward to your post later.
