"Bay" ice survived last night's severe winds and storm pretty much in one piece!!....Although it has from 4-6" of slush on it, the continued cold in the forecast should tighten that up enough to make "Walking Ice" by the weekend!!....I HOPE!!!....For additional Lake St.Clair Ice info check www.basshavencanada.com/frozenswamp (http://www.basshavencanada.com/frozenswamp)

Dec.15, 2000....Quick Update!!

3-5" of near shore "Walkin' Ice" at Mitchell's Bay!....Deep water, 6' and beyond (St.Luke's) is a nightmare covered in snow!!....Blanket effect of snow is makin' it tough fishing in shallow water......

Read greatmich.com and some guys had great luck over the weekend at Metro Beach and Gino's. They said the rain melted all the snow and slush so it should turn into solid ice by Christmas weekend.

I'll meet you out there then. I'll be the guy in the blue shanty--the one with the window. If that's too confusing I'll be wearing Carhartt's.
