I am taking a trip up to the Lewiston, Atlanta area for the weekend of the 15-17 and would like to ice fish. I was hoping some of you would be able to help me find a lake that would be good lake to fish. I would like to catch perch or walleyes but if something else is bitting that is good too. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I fished fletcher's last year and would like to try a different lake this year. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

Years ago we used to fish E. Twin lake in Lewiston for perch and bluegills. I heard there's walleye in there as well. Call the local bait shop for more info.

If your going to be in the Atlanta area you have got to make the trip over to Hillmann and head out on Fletchers Pond. Great Pike through the ice along with Pans and Perch. Many Bass as well.
You can rent a heated shanty from Jack's Landing or head out into fresh grounds.
Hey I was gonna say that, but there are many lakes in that area that are good for panfish. It may be a little far away, but the back waters of any of the dams on the AuSable are good too. Whatever you do, wherever you go please make sure the ice is safe.
