I'm not 100% sure yet, but I think I will have one of these this summer ! It just looks TOOO COOOL.

It's a Humminbird WIRELESS fish finder ! I saw these at BPS a couple of months ago and had no idea what they were talking about. I just went to their website and found out. It is a regular LCD fishfinder that has a CORDLESS transducer !!! How sweet is that ?!

You attach it to the end of a line and cast it out. It then floats on top of the water and tells you just what a normal fishfinder would. But the cool part is that you can use it from a boat, shore, dock, pier, or wherever you're fishing.

I think it would be IDEAL to use at someplace like Stoney Creek on the middle lake. (the one on the North side of the middle dam)
That has a pretty good dropoff and I've always wondered what the contours were like there. They run about $169. It might be a "gimmick" but it looks like a GREAT idea to me. I think I might risk the money and pick one up this spring. I can't wait to try it out. Here's a link to the product site :

Well ,Budster.....
If it works like 'most' Chumminturd products.....
Well ~ just ask ESOX about his fine unit... he said it couldn't see a fish if you laid on right on the LCD.........
"wireless" , another avenue for interference.......
Lowrance raises the bar , the industry tries to exceed them....
hehehe.......
Real fishing "tool" or "bait" for the fisherman???
YOU make the call......
For $170 bucks , I'd go with PROVEN technology... but that's just me!!!;)

Yea SFW has it right about that Birdturd. I hate those fish icons, but that 3D view is great for finding structure. The only person who has ever had it find a fish for him was Trout, who said we must be running over some Muskies, it actually marked some fish! He then proceeded to catch two of them in two casts a few minutes later. I'll save ya some money John, when the weeds are up in the middle lake, the channel is well defined by the weed wall on the east side of it. Personally, I really like my Bottom Line with the sidefinder. That thing will mark a snail on mud 25' down.
