What do the Saginaw River fisherman think about the upcoming snow and it's effects on the ice conditions?

Maybe it will help buffer the ice from the warming temps in the next 3 days, but I suppose the real danger is the warming flowing water underneath, I HAS to hold out for one more weekend of fishing thats all I know.

We need those saginaw guys to give us some updates on friday!

As long as it stays cold itll be fine. Get some warm temps and the runoff will kill it fast. We were out a few years ago and started the day on 8" of ice. Temps went up to 50 and by 2pm the coast gaurd was telling people to get off of the ice. We had to pick our way back to shore between holes that had opened up. Not fun!!! Hope it holds into next week, I ll be hitting them hard!

To much snow because of the weight factor may not be good:( Pray for cold weather thru the 15th cause I we are going to need it. Hope to see you guys this weak end. Do most of the M.S. guys monitor ch 8 ?

Yes indeed it is ch. 8. Got out of work too late tonight ( tue ) to go down on the river, but coming across the z bridge there were a ton of guys out. If I get out early enough on Wed. will go try and see what the ice conditions are like.
