I normally lurk in the hunting forums, but I have to say I am excited to get out and ice fish. I have a Shappell 3 man (fits 2 really nice) and my wife and I try to get out every weekend on Lake St. Clair when we can.
In the hunting forums we always say let's meet up and hunt together, but hunting is not as social an activity as fishing. So when we get some good ice hopefully for Christmas break I really think we need to set something up where we get together at Metro Beach or Gino's Surf. Last year I pulled out a couple buckets of perch at Gino's.

Does anybody do the Shiver on the River or Tip-up-Town (UP fishing maybe too)? Maybe we could trade some points because we have been wanting to try the Shiver and don't know what is good.

Sorry about that Steve, my eyes aren't that good apparently. I didn't see the ice fishing forum.

I usually fish cotton road or selfridge. I just got my new Sheppell DX3000. It replaces my well worn but still used "minuteman" The best shanty out there in my opinion. E-mail me and maybe we can swap reports.

I am right with you guys. I fish Anchor Bay/Lake St.Clair almost every weekend. Why don't we just post our reports here and plan on meeting weekly where the fish are hitting? <----<<<

Great idea! I'm going to invest in those 2-way radios (Family Radio Service). Convince some other fisherman to do the same and get and give reports right from the shore!
