Saginaw Bay.....

Does anyone know if there is any ice on Saginaw Bay yet? If so how much?

A guy I know was by Linwood on Sunday, he talked to some guys and there was about 2 inches. Obviously, there shuld be a lot more now. I'm going Saturday, either Sunset Bay or Au Gres at Santiago Rd. I have did good at both places on first ice.

There is some ice on Wildfowl Bay off Bay Port and Mud Creek how good it is I can`t tell it`s been there about two weeks with open holes. People from work say there has been people out on it.

It won't be long now! THere is scim ice starting on the Saginaw river! I know there are people fishing the shallows on the Bay, There isn't much ice but they are in 3 foot or less of water. I'd say 2 inches but I will find out for sure by Sunday.

Have been on the Bay three times off Linwood, 3-4 inches of ice near launch channel, came home with 30-40 fish but still small. Seems to be making good ice. Also river is froze over in downtown saginaw but not thick enough for me yet.
